Italian football pundit Peppe Iannicelli is an admirer of Napoli's record acquisition Victor Osimhen, praising the Nigeria international's impact in his first two Serie A matches.
Osimhen's assist for Piotr Zielinski's 46th minute goal in the 6-0 rout of Genoa on Sunday evening was his first goal contribution in a Napoli shirt, having fired blanks on his competitive debut.
Against Parma, the score was goalless but The Blues broke the deadlock two minutes after the introduction of the former Lille star, then sealed the win with another goal in the 77th minute.
"Victor Osimhen had a positive impact immediately, even if he did not score," Peppe Iannicelli said on Canale 21 (via Area Napoli).
"In Parma he was still very good. If he had not done so, many would have already said : 'Eh, well ... he doesn't score and doesn't affect'. Instead he gives a nice contribution regardless of goals ".
Osimhen finished with 18 goals in all competitions last season with Lille and tallied 20 goals in 2018-2019 with Sporting Charleroi.
