Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze has named Everton attacking midfielder James Rodriguez as the toughest player he has faced in the English Premier League.
The England U21 international of Nigerian descent came up against the former Real Madrid star on matchday three as Palace were beaten 2-1 by Everton.
Eze admitted that he was mesmerized by the display of Rodriguez who won the Golden Boot as the top goalscorer at the 2014 World Cup.
Speaking to Premier League's YouTube channel, Eze said : "He was picking off passes, and I was just thinking, I didn't even know what was going to happen there
"Looking back at it, you're like, 'I don't know how he even saw that. What made you do that?'
"He looked like a crazy player."
Crystal Palace spent roughly 20 million pounds to sign Eze from Queens Park Rangers in the summer transfer window and he has caught the eye since making the switch to Selhurst Park.
The 22-year-old Anglo-Nigerian has featured in all of Palace's games in the Premier League with the exception of the 1-1 home draw with Brighton & Hove in October.
