Southampton rising star Nathan Tella has spoken about the position where he feels most comfortable playing.
The Arsenal Academy product has forced his way into the Saints first team this season and has been asked to play in a variety of different positions by manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Predominantly a right winger, Tella has also been used out wide on the left flank, has been deployed as an attacking midfielder as well as a support striker.
International recognition could come for Tella in the future as Gernot Rohr's chief scout in England, Tunde Adelakun is keeping tabs on the progress of the exciting youngster with a view to a potential call-up to the Nigeria side.
In quotes relayed by Hampshire Live, Tella explained : "Just on the pitch, I just want to play.
"I have a preference where I want to play but I am just happy wherever the manager calls me to come on and play. I want to do that, I want to do that to the best of my ability.
"I don't want to be one of those players who can only play in one position. I think my versatility has helped me play as much as I have played this season.
"I am just thankful the manager can trust me to play in various positions.."
Tella, 21, has totaled eighteen appearances for Southampton's first team since making his debut against Norwich City in June 2020.
