Official : Another Nigerian youngster signs scholarship with Watford
Another teenager of Nigerian descent signed scholarship forms with Premier League side Watford ahead of the forthcoming season.
Joining Darrin Enahoro-Marcus in signing a scholarship is promising striker Toby Adeyemo, a deal that will see both players gain nationally recognised qualifications through an extensive football and education programme.
Though both deals were announced today, allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the signing ceremony was held on June 27th.
Adeyemo was delighted to sign a scholarship at the Hornets and admitted that his parents sacrificed a lot so that he can achieve his goal.
"I'm over the moon, it's a dream come true to get a scholarship at such a lovely club like Watford," Adeyemo said to Watford's official website.
"It's the club for me and the place means a lot to me. I've enjoyed my football here and I just want to kick on now and pay back my parents for all the sacrifices they have made."
Adeyemo will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of former Flying Eagles invitee Jayden Bennets who rose through the academy ranks before making his first team debut for Watford.
