Newly-promoted English Premier League club Brentford continue to process the paperwork for FC Midtjylland midfielder Frank Onyeka ahead of his imminent move to England.
Brentford have reached a club-to-club agreement with FC Midtjylland to sign the Nigeria international.
The FC Ebedei product was a key player for The Wolves in the past two seasons, starring in the Champions League proper, Champions League and Europa League qualifiers, and Danish Superliga, hence the work permit application is expected to go through.
On Sunday, Onyeka was not on the plane to Poland, where FC Midtjylland are holding a training camp until July 11 and the official word from the club is that he was not selected because he's still on holiday.
Another Nigerian player linked with a departure from Midtjylland this summer, Babajide David has not been selected too while defensive midfielder Raphael Onyedika has been picked.
The 23-year-old Onyeka arrived at FC Midtjylland from partner club FC Ebedei at the age of eighteen, first starting in their academy setup and went on to feature in the UEFA Youth League in 2016-2017, before making his first team debut the following season.
