Sheffield Wednesday land Adeniran; ex-Flying Eagles invitee on target for Owls in friendly
Through their official website, League One club Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the signing of Nigeria-eligible midfielder Dennis Adeniran.
A former England U17 international, Adeniran arrives at the Owls on a free transfer following his release by Everton when he ran out of contract at the end of last month.
The 22-year-old played youth football for Fulham before switching to the Toffees in the summer transfer window of 2017.
Last season, he was loaned to Wycombe Wanderers where he made 22 appearances in all competitions.
Adeniran took part in the latter part of Sheffield Wednesday's training camp in Wales this week and was one of four Nigerian players that featured in today's 2-0 win against National League North side Chester in a pre-season friendly.
While the Fulham academy product played the entirety of the first half, ex-Flying Eagles invitees Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Korede Adedoyin, and Josh Dawodu were introduced at half-time.
Adedoyin doubled Sheffield Wednesday's lead in the 52nd minute after he was found by Dele-Bashiru.
