Nigeria-eligible winger scores on his non-competitive debut for West Ham youth
Summer signing Armstrong Okoflex got on the scoresheet on his non-competitive debut for the West Ham teams as the U23s thrashed Loughborough University 4-1 in their first pre-season game on Saturday afternoon.
The former Glasgow Celtic starlet inked a 2+1 year contract with The Hammers in June, news broken by allnigeriasoccer.com, and later confirmed by the club's official website.
Prior to today's fixture, Armstrong's last official game in England was against Tottenham Hotspur in the U18 Premier League while wearing the colours of Arsenal on April 24, 2018.
The Irish-Nigerian was named as part of a three-man attack in West Ham's starting lineup against the United Counties League side.
Okoflex, who started in a central role, won and converted a penalty kick in the 18th minute to make it 2-0.
West Ham's other scorers were Amadou Diallo, Bernardo Rosa and Mesaque Dju.
Nigeria-eligible duo Ajibola Alese and Mipo Odubeko, who are both age-eligible for the U23s next season, are currently training with West Ham's first team and were not involved against Loughborough University.
