Manchester United have been urged to make a move for Leicester City ace Wilfred Ndidi before the close of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have bolstered their squad with the signing of Jadon Sancho and are on the brink of completing a move for France World Cup winner Raphael Varane after reaching a club-to-club agreement with Real Madrid.
Sancho is a goal-creating machine, assisting his former teammates at Borussia Dortmund score a remarkable 64 goals in 137 appearances and Varane is one of the best in the business when it comes to defending.
Icelandic journalist Tómas Thordarson of Síminn TV has insisted that the arrival of Sancho and central defender Varane is not enough to challenge Chelsea and Manchester City for the Premier League title in the new season.
Speaking on Premier League Today, Thordarson stated : "No doubt, I don't see them challenging for the title for 38 weeks without a new defensive midfielder, someone like Wilfred Ndidi or Camavinga.
"Without a new great holding midfielder I don't see Manchester United standing a chance of winning the League but they could certainly be in the mix for maybe 33 weeks".
Ndidi was part of the Leicester City side that won the 2021 FA Community Shield, overcoming Manchester City 1-0 last weekend at Wembley.
