Anglo-Nigerian midfielder joins Man City academy after trials at Liverpool, Man Utd
Manchester City have won the race for the signature of promising Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Femi Fapetu.
Rising Ballers first broke the news that the Citizens have bolstered their academy ranks with the signing of former Arsenal schoolboy Fapetu.
The highly-rated young midfielder was heavily linked with a switch to both Manchester United and Liverpool having trained with both clubs prior to his transfer to the Etihad Stadium outfit.
Confirming the news, Femi's Nigerian dad Bade Fapetu told allnigeriasoccer.com on Monday afternoon : "Femi signed for Manchester City today, he just turned fourteen and is an attacking midfielder".
Fapetu has signed schoolboy forms with City and expected to represent Manchester City U15s in the 2021-2022 season.
Femi Fapetu ended his association with Arsenal in the summer, following
in the footsteps of his sibling Bayo who switched to Derby County on
scholarship terms.
He links up with the likes of Tai Sodje, Samuel Edozie and Dire Mebude at the Manchester City academy.
