Through a statement on their official website, West Ham United have announced that promising Nigerian striker Mipo Odubeko has signed a new deal with the club.
The former Manchester United schoolboy is now contracted to the Hammers until the summer of 2023.
Odubeko has been loaned out to Championship club Huddersfield Town for the remainder of the season with a break clause for both clubs in January 2022.
Regarded as one of the most promising young strikers in England, the 18-year-old was the standout performer for the Hammers development squad in 2020-2021, scoring 14 goals in 12 academy appearances and won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for April.
Commenting on his new signing, Huddersfield Town head coach Carlos Corberán said to the club's official website : "Mipo is a young striker with potential, who offers us something different in the attacking areas.
"He can play as a single striker or as a front pairing, and his finishing is a real strength; he has a very good shot from both his left and right sides.
"I am looking forward to working with him over the coming weeks and months."
Odubeko, who is open to representing the Super Eagles, has been allocated the number 7 shirt at the Terriers.
