Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers had nothing but words of praise for his former pupil, Victor Moses, ahead of side's important matchday three Europa League fixture against Spartak Moscow.
The former Nigeria international played under Rodgers at Liverpool on loan from Chelsea during the 2013-2014 season, with the young Raheem Sterling and Brazilian Philippe Coutinho keeping him out of the starting lineup.
Of a possible forty appearances in all competitions, Moses started only nine matches, including six in the Premier League, logging 853 minutes in total.
The Crystal Palace academy product wasn't guaranteed playing time in his second season at Chelsea so was farmed out on loan.
Speaking at Tuesday's press conference monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com, Rodgers said : "I know Victor Moses very well. Fantastic player so Victor is out here playing it's because he's playing for a very good team and a very good club so we anticipate a very difficult game."
Although playing opportunities were scarce for Moses, Rodgers underlined that the Nigerian was a model professional and responded when called upon.
The Northern Irish football tactician highlighted that Moses could pose a threat to Leicester, adding that he has been following the progress of the winger since he started coming through the ranks at Crystal Palace.
"I had Victor on loan for a period when I was at Liverpool.
"He was a fantastic player for me unfortunately he didn't probably play as much as maybe he would have liked.
"We had some really good players there in his position but he was a great professional, he trained every day, he was always available for the games.
"And when he did play he made a really, really good contribution.
"He played for Chelsea, young player we were taking him to Liverpool so he's had experience at two great clubs.
"Like I said I have followed his career since he's been a young player at Crystal Palace so I'm delighted to see him have a great career.
"Obviously being out here I know the threat that he is and the talent he has so we'll have to keep an eye on him," concluded Rodgers.
A Europa League, Premier League and FA Cup winner with Chelsea, Moses is set to make his fourteenth appearance against Leicester City on Wednesday afternoon.
