Nigerian-born former Manchester City central defender Nedum Onuoha is backing Manchester United to beat Liverpool in the ongoing Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
There are several world clash players on show today, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford starting for the Red Devils, while Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker are on parade for the visiting Reds.
Manchester United and Liverpool head into the fixture after beating Atalanta and Atlético de Madrid respectively 3-2 in the UEFA Champipons League.
The last time the two teams faced off 164 days ago, it ended 4-2 in favour of Liverpool with Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino (2) and Salah on target for Jurgen Klopp's team after Bruno Fernandes had given the Red Devils an early lead.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live just before kickoff, Onuoha said : "You can never guarantee when Manchester United will win but I can still see them winning today. What is missing? It is a conundrum.
"They don't have a clear style of play like Man City, Chelsea or Liverpool. If they do find that they could be so dangerous, but what is holding them back?"
Onuoha''s prediction is not looking so good now as Liverpool were leading 2-0 after thirteen minutes after Naby Keita and Diogo Jota got their names on the scoresheet.
