Watford talisman Emmanuel Dennis has admitted that he used to be an Arsenal fan but has stressed that he no longer supports the club because of their dwindling fortune.
It was claimed this week that both Manchester United and Arsenal were interested in signing Dennis during his time at Club Brugge but the two glamorous Premier League clubs refused to meet his asking price.
This website is taking that story with a pinch of salt because Drew Uyi is not authorized to comment on Dennis as he is not the player's bona fide representative as we are being led to believe.
Having said that, the Nigeria international has already put himself in the shop window and is sure to attract interest from bigger clubs in the summer having taking the Premier League by storm this term, scoring six goals and setting up five others in fourteen appearances.
"I used to be an Arsenal fan. I like Cesc Fabregas. But I'm no more an Arsenal fan. I was so much into Arsenal sometimes I could cry when they lose. That wasn't good for me," Dennis said to Sky Sports.
"So I was like, 'nah, I'm going to stick to myself and don't care much because it's not good for my health'. It's just me and myself right now."
Only Liverpool star Mohamed Salah (22) has had more goals involvements than Dennis in the Premier League so far this season.
