Chelsea have submitted their squad for the second half of the 2021-2022 season to the English Premier League following the conclusion of the January transfer window on Monday.
There are two separate lists - the main one containing a total of 25
players and another reserved for only U21 players and scholars irrespective of
nationality.
For the 2021-2022 season, U21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 2000.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has supplemented his squad with 53 players
classed as U21 players and scholars of which six are teenagers eligible
to represent the Nigeria national teams.
Goalkeeper Prince Adegoke (18), fullbacks Derrick Abu (18) and Richard Olise (17), strikers Bryan Fiabema (18), Tudor Mendel-Idowu (17) and Louis Flower (17) could be called upon for Premier League matches if the need arises.
With the exception of Mendel-Idowu, the aforementioned players of Nigerian descent have signed professional contracts with Chelsea.
A seventh player Faustino Anjorin was listed as an U21 player but the attacking midfielder has been loaned out to Huddersfield Town for the remainder of the season.
