Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi could be involved in some capacity on Saturday when his side face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The holding midfielder has not figured for the Foxes in their last three games due to a muscle-related injury but has returned to group training, putting him in contention to make his 180th career Premier League appearance against the Lilywhites at King Power Stadium.
It was thought that Ndidi would be in the matchday squad in last weekend's tie at Aston Villa but he had a personal issue that prevented him from being named in the traveling party.
Overall, the Super Eagles star has missed eight games in the Premier League this term as a result of fitness issues and was a non-playing substitute against Stockport and MK Dons in the Carabao Cup.
When in tiptop condition, he is usually one of the first names on the team sheet for club and country.
Providing a squad update during his pre-match press conference, Rodgers was quoted as saying by Leicester's official website : "He’s back in training and hopefully should be fine for the weekend."
Heading into the game against Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City are sitting fourteenth in the table with 21 points from twenty one games played.
