Abiola Dauda Delighted With Red Star Belgrade Debut
Abiola Dauda's transfer to traditional Serbian team Red Star Belgrade was probably the biggest move by a Nigerian player in the winter transfer market.<br /><br />On Saturday, the ex Kalmar striker made his long awaited debut for the 1991 European champions, coming on as a second half substitute in the 3 - 0 win over Novi Pazar.<br /><br />Dauda has admitted his delight after making his debut for Red Star Belgrade, who occupy the second position in the championship.<br /><br />''My debut was great. It's nice to get back in action again.. I have waited for a long time to play my first game for the club.<br /><br />''I wouldn't say I am disappointed not to get on the score-sheet, I played the last 10 minutes of the game. But of course, it would have been nice to score on my debut,'' Dauda told allnigeriasoccer.com.<br /><br />He added: ''It's 12 more games to play before the end of the league. I hope I can settle well in the team and get some few goals in the race for the title.''<br /><br />25 - year - old Dauda is under contract with Red Star Belgrade until the summer of 2015. He will play with the number 9 jersey for the remainder of the season.<br />
