Polish top flight club Widzew Lodz have invited for trials Charles Uchenna Nwaogu who last Tuesday had his contract terminated by Arka Gdynia for insubordination.<br /><br />Recall that last weekend the 22 - year -old Nigerian forward failed to convert a penalty awarded in extra time in Arka Gdynia's 0-1 loss to Zawisza Bydgoszcz in Gdynia. He had not been mandated by coach Petr Nemec to take the spot - kick.<br /><br />Nwaogu participated in Saturday's friendly match between Widzew Lodz and GKS Belchatow. The youngster, top scorer in Poland's second - tier two seasons ago, was introduced in the second half and created a good impression on the coaches, finding target in the 64th minute.<br /><br />''That was my first contact with the team and training after nearly a week's break. I tried to do what I had to do, and I gave it one hundred percent. It seems to me that I lack a bit of power. We'll see what happens next.
