The 22-year-old central midfielder who is eligible to represent the Super Eagles by his parentage roots, was born in Denmark and he has already had caps at U19 and U21 levels for the Scandinavian nation but was left out of their team for the competition in Russia.
That said, Nigeria could yet lull the youngster who has already been tipped to achieve greatness by seasoned Premier League professionals to accept representing the African giants after the tournament, with the 2019 African Cup of Nations in mind.
