NFF's Financial Problems May Hinder Super Eagles Afcon Chances
Financial problems may hinder the Super Eagles chances of winning a third African Cup of Nations trophy.

Supersport.com quoting an official of the Nigeria Football Federation says the National Sports Commission, NSC has not released funds of about one million euros (=N=220 million) for Nigeria's participation at the continental tourney.

''We (the NFF) have just been trying to see that things go smoothly but this situation has caused untold hardship and embarrassment to the football house and the Super Eagles.

''We have resorted to borrowing just to ensure that things go smoothly. This is sad because the NSC has no role to play at the Nations Cup.

''They have received the money and have refused to release it to the federation, The money in question represent allocation and it is not a gift so I don’t understand why we will not have received the funds with less than two days to the kickoff of the competition,'' the unnamed NFF official told supersport.com.

Meanwhile, as exclusively revealed by allnigeriasoccer.com, the Nigeria delegation arrived the Oliver Tambo International Airport on Thursday morning at around 11:00 hours.
