Durack, 24, will now compete for the position in between the sticks with Sweden's Hedvig Lindahl and England's Carly Telford on resumption of a new season.
"It's unbelievably exciting! For a while now, Chelsea have been a team everyone in the country and in Europe has really looked up to, so to have the opportunity to be a part of that is so awesome", she said of the transfer.
Having rose from the youth ranks at North West Sydney Koalas in her country of birth, Durack moved over to Harvard Crimson before beginning her senior career with Western Sydney Wanderers.
