Former Fiorentina player Henri Ndubueze Okoroji, 27,&nbsp; has signed a contract with Serie D club <span style="">Montalto.<br /><br />On the recommendations of ex Reggiana midfielder, Prince Ikpe Ekong, Okoroji arrived Italy in 2003 to sign for the <i>Granata</i>. <br /><br />It must be noted that the performance of the central defender sparked interest in other Nigerian players by Italian clubs - Ayo Makinwa and Obafemi Martins.<br /><br />After one season with </span><span style="">Reggiana, Okoroji left for Pro Vasto, where he spent three years. Chieti,&nbsp; Flaminia Civita Castellana and Casertana are the other teams he played for in Italy's basement division.<br /><br /><br /></span>
