Central African Republic coach Raoul Savoy has admitted that his players will keep a close watch on Victor Osimhen in Thursday's 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, saying that the Napoli striker is the Super Eagles best player at the moment.
The Spanish-Swiss football coach underlined that Nigeria have several quality players in their ranks who are playing for top European clubs.
Osimhen has had a brilliant start to the season with seven goals in his last five matches and netted a crucial goal against Cape Verde in a World Cup qualifier last month.
The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner was the joint top scorer in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with five goals.
"I don't like to talk about specific players because you know that footbal is a game we play with eleven players and substitutes," Savoy said in an Instagram conversation with Pascal.
"For now I think Osimhen is doing very well in Napoli, he is scoring a lot of goals.
"I like his style of play, powerful and a really good striker. For us of course it will be an hounour these class of players but for now I think Osimhen is for me the best at the moment."
Osimhen was the most prolific striker in Europe in September and only Real Madrid's Karim Benzema could match him.
