Joe Aribo put in another man-of-the-match performance as Rangers registered their seventh successive win in the Scottish Premiership following a 2-0 success against Viv Solomon-Otabor's St. Johnstone at Ibrox Stadium on Wednesday night.
In a one-sided game, the Light Blues had to wait for 43 minutes before they got the breakthrough through a header from Alfredo Morelos.
Three minutes after the restart, Rangers added to their lead with Aribo bagging a secondary assist.
The Nigeria international slipped in Alfredo Morelos and the striker squared for Ryan Kent to fire past the St Johnstone goalkeeper.
Aribo was on another level against the Saints and was unlucky not to score after hitting the post from distance in the first half.
Speaking post-match, the Rangers number 17 told Rangers TV : "The boys are buzzing, it wasn't the best at times but it's nice to get over the obstacle and to get the three points.
"We spoke about it before the game, we knew it's not always going to be a fast start so we have to be patient, that's what we have to do and then we were lucky to get the breakthrough just before halftime".
On being named man of the match and what has given him strength over the last few weeks, Aribo said : "I'm just playing freely.
"I don't know if I'm actually honest, it's just playing freely and just thankful to God for my talents."
Aribo's compatriot Calvin Bassey was also terrific, helping Rangers keep their fourth consecutive clean sheet in the Premiership.
