Speaking at the post-match press conference after Crystal Palace's 2-2 draw with KuPS in the Conference League, manager Oliver Glasner reflected on Christantus Uche's recent performances.
The versatile midfielder has been turning heads in the Conference League, scoring in back-to-back games, including his stunning finish against KuPS at Selhurst Park on Thursday night.
Uche opened the scoring inside five minutes, collecting the ball on the edge of the box before expertly shifting it onto his left foot and curling a brilliant outside-of-the-boot strike into the top corner.
After Uche’s brilliant goal against KuPS, Glasner highlighted his best position on the pitch.
Sharing his thought on the Nigeria international's increased playing time over the last couple of weeks, Glasner told reporters: "It's just he gets used to the way we are playing. I think his best position is up front. It was an amazing goal. To be honest, he could score two or three, but yes a good performance.
"And he shows up the last couple of weeks, that's important to have him as a good alternative for the others."
Uche has stayed in the English capital following his omission from Nigeria’s final squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, a decision he accepted in good faith.
