Agent Shoots Down RUMOURS Arsenal Have Applied For Nwakali Work Permit; Ajax Yet To Firm Up Interest
Kelechi Nwakali’s bonafide intermediary, Allwell Nwakali, has reacted to rumours in the media that suggested that Arsenal have applied for a work permit for the Nigeria youth international.

After announcing his signing via their official website, the English Premier League club clearly stated that the central midfielder will be farmed out on loan in the coming months (January transfer window), due to difficulties in obtaining a work permit, and that has not changed.

“I am not aware Arsenal have applied for a work permit for Kelechi Nwakali. I don’t think that’s true and if they have done that they will let me know, ” said Allwell Nwakali to allnigeriasoccer.com.

“They promised to get him a permit before he signed. If they can get the permit, then there is no need sending him out on loan.”

Allwell Nwakali has also cleared the air regarding suggestions that Arsenal will pay Diamond Academy less than 300,000 pounds after securing the signature of the highly-rated youngster.

“That information is not correct. Arsenal’s agreement with Diamond is that whenever he signs a professional contract, they will pay 2.5 million pounds and he has already signed the contract, ” Nwakali’s agent added.

As first reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, Ajax Amsterdam were interested in signing Nwakali before he agreed terms with Arsenal, but the Eredivisie giants are yet to make an official approach regarding a loan deal for the midfielder at this moment.

Ifeanyi Emmanuel
