Through official channels, Bulgarian First League club Botev Plovdiv have announced the signing of Danish-born Nigerian striker Ifenna Dorgu.
Ifenna is the younger brother of Manchester United fullback Patrick Dorgu, who is cap-tied to Denmark.
The 19-year-old has signed a long-term contract with Botev Plovdiv following a successful trial.
Dorgu’s search for a new club has come to an end following his departure from HB Køge in January.
Prior to that, he featured for Genoa's youth side, where he recorded nine goals and four assists in 37 appearances.
Dorgu links up with several players of Nigerian descent at Botev Plovdiv, including out-of-favour Super Eagles forward Samuel Kalu.
The Bulgarian club also have Chimezie Williams and Bryan Hein on their books, while Emmanuel John and Shola Adelani are currently on loan at Spartak Varna and Spartak Pleven respectively.
Botev Plovdiv have successfully completed all the necessary paperwork for Dorgu’s registration, with the striker set to be included in the squad for Saturday’s league clash against Cherno More.
