Announcement imminent: Ipswich Town loan out ex-Flying Eagles invitee to Chelmsford City

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Championship outfit Ipswich Town are on the verge of announcing that 2025 Flying Eagles invitee Abube Onuchukwu has been loaned out to National League South club Chelmsford City.

There is no going back regarding the box-to-box midfielder's temporary switch the Clarets as he has already started training with the club ahead of Saturday's home game against Ebbsfleet United.

It is understood that Onuchukwu will join Chelmsford City  on a 28-day work-experience loan spell.

The 19-year-old has been part of Ipswich Town's academy setup since joining them from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024, with the Tractor Boys beating Sheffield United, Hull City, Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers and Peterborough United to his signature.

This season, Onuchukwu has appeared in ten matches across the Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup, logging 809 minutes in total.

Onuchukwu will link up at Chelmsford City with Jason Adigun, a cousin of Liverpool wonderkid Rio Ngumoha, alongside Lagos-born winger Jesurun Uchegbulam, Dom Odusanya and Sam Folarin.

The former Aston Villa youth teamer was called up to a Flying Eagles training camp ahead of friendlies against Ivory Coast in February 2025.
