Nigeria U20 international Kelechi Nwakali scored the first professional goal of his career as MVV Maastricht defeated De Graafschap 2-0 in the Dutch Eerste Divisie on Friday night.<br /><br />Thomas Verheijdt converted a penalty in the 31st minute to make it 1-0 in favour of the home team, before Nwakali ensured the three points were safe with his maiden goal for MVV in the third minute of stoppage time. <br /><br />Nwakali has started the last seven matches contested by Ron Elsen&rsquo;s side in the league, and bagged an assist against Fortuna Sittard on November 18.<br /><br />The Flying Eagles skipper penned a five-year contract with Arsenal in August, before he was farmed out on loan to MVV Maastricht after failing to secure a work permit.<br /><br />After 18 rounds in the Dutch second-tier, MVV occupy the third position with 36 points garnered, two less than VVV Venlo who lead the way.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />
