Aston Villa legend Dion Dublin reckons that Michael Olise is now worth an exaggerated £80 million (approximately N43.4 billion in Nigerian currency) based on his current form for Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace paid Reading eight million pounds to land the versatile winger during the summer transfer window and it's a bargain fee for the talented youngster, who set the Championship alight in 2020-2021 and was honoured with the EFL Young Player of the Year award.
After a slow start due to injury and limited game time, Olise has adapted to the Premier League with a goal involvement of four in nine matches since the start of 2022, and has directly participated in four goals in the Emirates FA Cup.
The likes of Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on the 2021 Super Eagles invitee with a view to making a bid for his services and it remains to be seen whether or not Palace could be tempted into parting ways with the 20-year-old if they receive a big bid.
Dublin correctly pointed out that Crystal Palace took a gamble when they signed Olise.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Dublin said : "If you can get a player of that age, obviously you don't know if they are going to work, you gamble and feel you can get the best out of him.
"It could have been 80 million (pounds), from what we have seen.
"At 20 he's got a lot to learn but from what we've seen, brilliant".
Olise is expected to be on show on Monday night when Crystal Palace face off with Manchester City at Selhurst Park.
