Question mark over whether Ola Aina will be named in Forest squad to face Aston Villa

Nottingham Forest head coach Vítor Pereira spoke to reporters on Wednesday ahead of his side's UEFA Europa League semifinal clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park, and provided an update on the squad's injury situation.

There is still a question mark over whether Ola Aina will be involved in Thursday's game, with the Portuguese tactician admitting at the pre-match press conference that there are doubts over the fitness of some players, including the Super Eagles fullback and Murillo

Ola Aina was forced off with an injury around the 75th minute as Nottingham Forest secured a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at the City Ground.

Although Vítor Pereira downplayed the severity of the issue, the Nigeria international was subsequently omitted from the matchday squad for Monday's trip to Stamford Bridge.

Teenage defender Zach Abbott, who replaced Aina versus Aston Villa, was substituted against Chelsea.

When asked whether any of the injured players could return for the clash against Aston Villa, Pereira said: "We have a lot of doubts with players but we cannot have doubts around the spirit, what we want, our belief, resilience and we should do tactically.

"This is something we cannot have doubts but about the players I have a lot."

Ola Aina has appeared in eight Europa League matches this season, registering an assist.
