Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen continued his impressive run of form by scoring on his return to the Super Lig, helping the Yellow-Reds secure a 3-1 victory over Fatih Karagümrük on Saturday evening.
The Super Eagles star, back from representing Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, netted Galatasaray’s third goal in the second half.
Osimhen showcased his trademark composure, brilliantly controlling a pinpoint cross from former Manchester City midfielder İlkay Gündoğan before smashing the ball into the roof of the net.
The goal takes Osimhen’s tally for the season to 13 goals in 17 matches across all competitions, marking his fourth goal in his last three league appearances.
The former Napoli forward was substituted in the 78th minute, with Kaan Ayhan coming on as his replacement.
Following his exit, Fatih Karagümrük attempted a late comeback, but Galatasaray held firm to claim their first league win of the season, having drawn against Gaziantep FK and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
