Bayern's Musiala shares photo of Nigerian dishes as he continues recovery from injury

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has offered fans an update on his recovery following the injury he sustained against PSG in the FIFA Club World Cup in July.

The 22-year-old shared a photo of himself during an individual workout, highlighting steady progress in his rehabilitation.

Alongside the workout image, Musiala posted a picture of Nigerian dishes, including pounded yam and egusi soup, on X.

Tagged “Day by day,” the post reflects both his commitment to recovery and a personal connection to his heritage.

Musiala was born in Germany, on February 26, 2003, to a Nigerian father and a German mother.

He spent part of his childhood in England before returning to Germany to continue his football development, making his way to Bayern Munich’s first team.

Bayern have been without Musiala since he suffered a broken leg and dislocated ankle during the Club World Cup match.

The German international remains focused on regaining full fitness, and his recent posts suggest positive momentum in his rehabilitation—while also offering a glimpse into the cultural traditions that are important to him.
