According to respected British journalist Matt Law, who writes for the <i>Daily Telegraph</i>, Chelsea may be forced to offload Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel this summer as the squad has exceeded the foreign quota permitted by both the Premier League and UEFA. <br /><br />Chelsea have 18 foreigners over the age of 21 on their payroll while clubs can only name 17 players above that age in their official 25 - man squad lists for both competitions. <br /><br />One of Fernando Torres, Obi Mikel and Petr Cech might be sold to free space on the roster.<br /><br />Post World Cup, the Nigeria international has not attracted concrete interest from clubs across Europe.<br /><br />Meanwhile, England youth - teamer Dominic Solanke will train with the Chelsea first team squad this season, though manager Jose Mourinho admitted that he will not be registered for the Premier League.<br /><br />Photo Credit : fifa.com<br />
