Paul Onuachu has now gone three consecutive matches without finding the net for the first time in the 2025-2026 season, marking a rare dip in form for the striker who has been a key player for Trabzonspor, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The lanky centre-forward drew blanks as Trabzonspor's eight-match unbeaten run in the Süper Lig came to an end on Monday evening, following a 2–1 defeat to Konyaspor at the Medaş Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu.
Onuachu had already failed to score in successive games prior to the trip to Konyaspor, against İstanbul Başakşehir in the league and Samsunspor in the quarterfinals of the Turkish Cup.
Against Konyaspor, Trabzonspor endured a difficult first half and found themselves two goals down by the 39th minute, with Berkan Kutlu scoring a brace for the hosts.
A late header from Felipe Augusto, eleven minutes from time, proved to be only a consolation.
Despite his recent dry spell in the division, Onuachu remains the leading scorer in the race for the Golden Boot, having netted 22 goals—two more than Eldor Shomurodov of İstanbul Başakşehir.
With Trabzonspor dropping points, reigning champions Galatasaray now require just three points from their remaining three matches to secure the title.
