Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo is oozing with confidence ahead of the eagerly anticipated 2019 Africa Cup of Nations against Libya on October 13.
Not only did he made his long-awaited La Liga debut this weekend before his trip to Uyo, but he also impressed in the hard-fought win vs Rayo Vallecano.
The central defender noted that Libya are a strong team but has tipped the Super Eagles to emerge victorious because of their pedigree, the players in the squad, sound coaches and the supporters.
''We will be up against a strong Libyan side. But we are the Super Eagles and we have a great squad,'' Omeruo said in a statement to the Nigerian Federation.
''We will give our all to pick maximum six points from both games. I have confidence in the entire crew.
''We urge our fans to get behind us and give us all the support. We will not disappoint you all.''
Omeruo is the third most seasoned international in the latest Super Eagles roster behind Ahmed Musa and Eddy Onazi.
