Trabzonspor Women's football team midfielder Chioma Olise has expressed deep admiration for her compatriot Paul Onuachu, who leads the line for the club's men’s team.
The former Edo Queens star joined Trabzonspor in February 2025, and has a contract with the club June 30, 2027.
Onuachu is enjoying a prolific season with Trabzonspor, scoring 24 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions, although he has failed to find the net in his last two matches since returning from the muscle injury that kept him out of the clash against Alanyaspor.
In the race for the Super Lig Golden Boot, the Nigeria international leads the way with 22 goals to his name, two more than closest challenger Basaksehir FK's Eldor Shomurodov.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency about her experience in Turkiye, Olise praised the prolific forward and highlighted that Nigerians are proud of Onuachu's achievements.
In quotes relayed by CNN Turk, she stated: "I support Onuachu 100% because he's a citizen of my country. Please keep scoring goals like this, he's my king. I support him with all my heart, body, and soul.
"Of course, I want to meet him. Not just Onuachu, but I also want to meet Chibuike Nwaiwu and Anthony Nwakaeme."
Olise represented Nigeria at the 2024 Fifa U20 Women's World Cup and made her senior debut in a friendly against Algeria in October 2024
