Chelsea winger beats two Nigerian forwards to Premier League 2 POTM award

Manchester United striker Victor Musa and Brighton & Hove Albion forward Nehemiah Oriola have missed out on the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award, with the Premier League confirming on Friday that the honour went to Chelsea winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen.

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for March 2026 after scoring four goals in four games.

Kavuma-McQueen's tally placed him just ahead of Victor Musa and Nehemiah Oriola, who each registered three goals apiece for their respective sides.

Both Oriola and Musa have already been earmarked as prospects for the future, having earned integration into the first-team setups at Brighton and Manchester United during the course of the season.

While Oriola has received seven call-ups for Premier League games this term and made his top-flight debut off the bench against Leeds United, Musa trained with United's first team in Dublin after the March international break.

In this season's Premier League 2, the Seagulls attacker has made eighteen appearances and scored eight goals, while the Manchester United striker has four goals to his name from eleven appearances.

West Ham United's Josh Ajala is the only player of Nigerian descent to have won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award this season.
