Crystal Palace line up Uche's Getafe coach Bordalas as Oliver Glasner replacement

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Premier League side Crystal Palace have identified Getafe head coach José Bordalás, the manager who handed Christantus Uche his La Liga debut last season, as a leading candidate to replace Oliver Glasner.

The Eagles are understood to be assessing their managerial options amid uncertainty surrounding Glasner’s future, with Bordalás' extensive La Liga experience placing him firmly on the club’s shortlist.

Glasner is contracted to Crystal Palace until the end of the 2025–2026 season, and there's no breakthrough in negotiations over a new deal, though the powers that be at Selhurst Park are keen to retain him.

In the event that the Austrian manager fails to agree terms on a new contract, Crystal Palace have placed Bordalás among the top two managerial candidates to replace him.

Bordalás' reputation as a fiercely competitive and tactically astute coach has played a significant role in putting him on Crystal Palace’s radar.

Renowned in La Liga for organising disciplined, hard-working teams, he has consistently secured results against Spain's elite clubs.

The 61-year-old returned for a second spell at Getafe in April, having previously spent five years in charge of the club before his appointment at Valencia.

Before his deadline-day move to Crystal Palace, Uche played 41 matches under Bordalás at Getafe, registering five goals and eight assists.
