The Super Eagles have never lost to Tanzania's Taifa Stars in seven previous meetings, recording four wins and three draws.
Amas Obasogie, who made his long-awaited Super Eagles debut in last week's pre-Africa cup of Nations friendly against Egypt, is one of four Singida Black Stars players in Morocco.
Joining the Nigeria international are Tanzania duo Hussein Masalinga and Khalid Iddi, as well as Uganda midfielder Khalid Aucho.
Ahead of Nigeria's opener on Tuesday evening, manager Eric Chelle was quick to dismiss suggestions that he had consulted goalkeeper Obasogie for an insider view on the Taifa Stars.
"We didn't talk about Tanzania and this is not lack of respect. We prefer to stay focused," Chelle told reporters at Monday's pre-match press conference.
"Every time I said to be focused on my players and our game project. This is the most important.
"We have a training session today for that. Before the training session, we have a video session, so the most important thing is to focus on ourselves because the first opponent is us."
