With a statement on the official website, Championship club Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of Ehije Ukaki on a three-year deal, subject to relevant documentation being approved.
Aged 20, Ukaki is the second Nigerian forward joining the Blades from Bulgarian top-flight outfit Botev Plovdiv in 2025, following in the footsteps of Christian Nwachukwu, who was acquired in the January transfer window.
A product of FDC Vista, Ukaki is leaving Botev Plovdiv after making 58 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.
He also brings some European experience, having featured in a total of four qualifying matches across the Europa League and UEFA Conference League last term.
Sheffield United signed Ukaki following a recommendation from the club's newly implemented data model under the direction of their new ownership group.
The system flagged Ukaki as a promising player, prompting the Blades to firm up their interest as part of a broader recruitment strategy aimed at unearthing emerging talent through analytics-driven scouting.
Last month, Sheffield United were on the verge of promotion to the Premier League, but lost the playoff final against Sunderland.
Ukaki and Nwachukwu will be aiming to make their debuts for Sheffield United in the upcoming season.
