Dutch-Born Troost-Ekong Reminds Everyone About His Akwa Ibom Roots
FK Haugesund skipper William Troost-Ekong was delighted that the Super Eagles ended their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on a high by beating Tanzania 1-0 on Saturday.<br /><br />Troost-Ekong, who turned 23 on Thursday, was born in Haarlem, Netherlands but can claim to be a native of Akwa Ibom State, where the game was played, as his father is a son of the soil. <br /><br />“1-0 win against Tanzania.
