Emenike, Enyeama, Mikel Shortlisted For African Player Of The Year Award
Confederation of African Football ( CAF) has published on its official website, cafonline.com a list of 25 nominees for the 2013 African Footballer of the Year.<br /><br />Among the candidates, it should be emphasized that five Nigerian players made the shortlist.<br /><br />African Cup of Nations top scorer , Emmanuel Emenike, John Obi Mikel of Chelsea, Vincent Enyeama (Lille) , Ahmed Musa (CSKA Moscow) and Sunday Mba have been chosen as candidates for the most prestigious individual award in Africa.<br /><br />The successor to reigning African Player of the year, Yaya Toure will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Lagos.<br /><br />Rashidi Yekini, Emmanuel Amunike, Victor Ikpeba and Nwankwo Kanu had previously won the African Player of the year award.<br /><br />Photo Credit: maccabi-tlv.co.il<br /><br />
