Super Eagles great Vincent Enyeama namechecked Austin Okocha, John Obi Mikel, Emmanuel Emenike, Victor Moses, Osaze Odemwingie, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Joseph Yobo, Kenneth Omeruo and Ahmed Musa when he was pressed to reveal the best player he played with in his career.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations-winning goalkeeper was diplomatic in his reply, arguing that all the teams he represented in his career did not rely on individuals but played as a team.
With 101 caps, Enyeama is Nigeria's joint most capped player in history along with former Everton star Joseph Yobo and represented the country at three World Cups, 2002, 2010 and 2014 before calling time on his international career.
In an Instagram conversation with Colin Udoh, Enyeama stated : "I have been blessed to have so many great players, so it depends on what the person mean by the best player. All the teams I played for were built on teamwork, not really one player standing out.
"The first AFCON I played Jay-Jay Okocha was the player of the tournament, so he was the best player in that tournament. All my teams have been made up of team players not individual talents.
"Mikel when he is on his good day he can give you a very good game, Emenike, Moses when he was there he can give you a good game same with Osas (Odemwingie), Aiyegbeni, I played a few games with Aiyegbeni.
"Yobo has won a few games for us, Kenneth (Omeruo) has been a very strong defender at one point in time, it has been more of a team game.
"Musa has done very, very well but I didn't really play that much with him. Recently he has been one player carrying the national team."
Enyeama was an influential member of the Enyimba side that won back-to-back Champions League titles, and also played for Heartland, Bnei Yehuda, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Lille.
