Afelokhai was named to Nigeria's standby list ahead of the AFCON but was eventually not called up to replace any of the trio of Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Francis Uzoho.
"No, I don't think there will be too many changes to the team that the head coach has been playing," Afelokhai responded when asked by allnigeriasoccer.com of his opinion regarding the possibility of having Ezenwa or Uzoho in goal against Madagascar.
"Personally I can't see the coach playing either Ikechukwu Ezenwa or Francis Uzoho. Akpeyi has been number one and despite Nigeria having qualified for the round of 16, I think he (Rohr) will want to get all three points. So he maintains his number one.
"Maybe he will introduce some of these players that people expect to play this Sunday from the bench. I don't know but I guess Akpeyi will start.
Afelokhai was on Enyimba duties at the NPFL playoffs in Lagos when the Eagles prepared in Asaba for the AFCON in Egypt.
"I wish the team well in their matches. I take things as they are because everything happens for a reason. I'm looking forward and hope my chances will come after the AFCON," the goalkeeper stressed.
The Nigeria versus Madagascar match kicks off 5pm Nigerian time on Sunday.
The Eagles will top the group with a win or draw while debutants Madagascar will finish tops in Group B should they pull off a shocking win.
