Ex-Barcelona Winger Amuneke Congratulates Egypt For Win Over Nigeria
Ex-Zamalek winger Emmanuel Amuneke has congratulated Egypt in the wake of their 1-0 victory over Nigeria in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday night at the Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.<br /><br />And the Super Eagles assistant coach has said that the North Africans were successful against Nigeria because they played as a unit and worked hard for each other, especially in defense and midfield.<br /><br />“Egyptian team played very well , and the advantage is that the players have performed as a united team, perhaps it is because they are playing for a long time with each other,”Amuneke told filgoal.com.<br /><br />“It is true that the Egyptian national team did not qualify for the Nations Cup three times since, but it is obvious that the players keep playing the same way.<br /><br />“All I can do now is to send congratulations to them on this good game.”<br /><br />Now 45, Emmanuel Amuneke starred for Zamalek from 1991-1994 before moving to Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona. <br /><br /><b>Igho Kingsley<br /><br /></b>Photo Credit : thenff.com<b><br /></b>
