Ex-Golden Eaglets Trainee Ovie Ejaria Scores First Goal For Liverpool

Nigerian midfielder Ovie Ejaria opened his goalscoring account for the first team of Liverpool in their 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town&nbsp; in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Friday.<br /><br />The game was arranged by the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to keep his players not called up for international duty fit ahead of next weekend&rsquo;s meeting with Leicester City in the Premier League. <br /><br />After five appearances for the first team during pre-season, Ejaria had not found the back of the net but those stats changed when he drilled home a header after he was set up by Firmino in the 55th minute. <br /><br />The 18-year-old , who was included in the starting line-up, was replaced by Phillips in the 85th minute.<br /><br />London-born Ejaria is spending his third straight season at Liverpool after transferring from Arsenal in summer of 2014.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : liverpoolfc.com<br />
