Exclusive : Warri Wolves CEO Reveals Gbolahan Salami Economic Rights Belong To Dubious Agent, Yomi Itsekure

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Warri Wolves, Davidson Owumi, has exclusively informed allnigeriasoccer.com’s editorial staff that the club will not pocket a single penny from the transfer of Gbolahan Salami to a European team in future.

Though this has been denied by the Nigeria international, Serbian media has insisted that a deal has already been wrapped up for the Warri Wolves loanee.

“We took Gbolahan Salami from his agent, so we can not comment on the Red Star Belgrade interest because he is no longer our player, ” said Davidson Owumi to allnigeriasoccer.com.

Investigations by this portal reveal that the economic rights of Salami are being held by notorious agent, Yomi Itsekure, and he needs no introduction.

Recall that early last year, Yomi Itsekure blocked the Nigeria Football Federation from issuing an ITC to ex Flying Eagles player, Ugonna Ezenwaka after he was signed as a free agent by Maccabi Netanya.

Itsekure had claimed that Ezenwaka’s economic rights belonged to him, and the Israeli club had to report the dubious agent to Fifa, who instructed the Nigeria Federation to release his ITC.

Football governing body, Fifa, has banned third-party player ownership, with effect from May 2015.
