Fanendo Adi Pleased To Tally The Game-Winner Against Columbus Crew

New Super Eagles invitee Fanendo Adi was satisfied after netting the game-winner in Portland Timbers<span>&rsquo; 2-1 victory against Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer on Sunday afternoon at Providence Park.<br /><br />With the scoreboard reading 1-1, Adi secured all three points for the homers, scoring in the 79th minute after a shot from Asprilla was deflected into his path.<br /><br />&ldquo;I saw the ball and maybe it was going to hit the crossbar, but you never know,</span><span><span>&rdquo; Adi told <i>timbers.com</i>.<br /><br /></span></span><span><span>&ldquo;</span>I was going to break the bar. I saw the ball and had to manage a way to put it in. <br /><br /></span><span><span>&ldquo;</span>It was amazing for me to get a goal in our first game of the season, and for us to win is just absolutely amazing. As the coach said, we&rsquo;re going to enjoy this one tonight.&rdquo;<br /><br />Since moving to Portland Timbers during the 2014 season, Fanendo Adi has scored 26 goals for the club.<br /></span>
