FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Kano Pillars Amongst Clubs Keen On Ex-Everton Star Yobo

The League Management Company has officially announced that former Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo can continue his career in the Nigeria Professional Football League. <br /><br />Now 35, the defensive all-rounder has not played competitively since he took to the Est&aacute;dio Nacional de Bras&iacute;lia turf in the Super Eagles 2-0 loss to France on June 30, 2014 in the second round of the World Cup.<br /><br />Yobo will be assigned to a club under the NPFL Elite Players Scheme which Sani Kaita benefited from two seasons ago, and will play 12 games in the league all things being equal.<br /><br />Akwa Utd, FC Ifeanyiubah, Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists are in the running for the signature of the veteran stopper.<br /><br />The defender did not play for any topflight club in Nigeria before transferring to Standard Liege in 1998.<br /><br />Joseph Yobo also featured for Marseille, Everton, Fenerbahce and Norwich City.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : LMC<br />
