Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Kaisar are still awaiting the arrivals of former Nigeria internationals Victor Moses and Imoh Ezekiel.
Both forwards missed FC Kaisar’s season opener against FK Zhenys on Sunday, March 8, due to ongoing issues in the Middle East.
Moses, who was preparing to return to Kazakhstan, was caught up in an airport incident where part of a rocket landed nearby.
The resulting closure of airspace led to the suspension of all flights, including those to Kazakhstan.
Consequently, neither the former Chelsea star nor the 2016 Rio Olympic bronze medalist Ezekiel can currently travel to the country.
FC Kaisar coach Andrey Ferapontov explained that Moses has been unable to join the team due to the tense situation in the Middle East, and confirmed that the club is also expecting another Nigerian player Ezekiel.
In quotes relayed by Vesti, Ferapontov stated: "We're expecting two more foreign players. You're probably familiar with the situation with Moses and Ezekiel.
"For various reasons, they couldn't make it to the championship. Moses can't fly out of Dubai due to the political situation. We're waiting for him. When they rejoin, we'll have a full squad and we'll have a good idea of their fitness."
Moses signed a one-year deal with FC Kaisar in January 2026 following his departure from Luton Town, while Imoh Ezekiel is expected to join the club on a free transfer after leaving Albanian side KF Pogradeci.
